Who we are

The consortium was established in 2008 by Dott. Nino Salerno. This initiative was aimed towards the promotion of food producers in the province of Palermo and the development of their capacity to export.
After a while it was observed that there was a necessity to further develop the associates that were only from Sicily and to make the consortium a mix of companies from all over the different regions of Italy.

It is not the objective of the consortium to make profits but their primary aim is exclusively based around the social benefits the enterprise can bring and the promotional visibility this gives to its members.

The Consortium looks after the following:

  1. The collective participation of shows and exhibitions abroad or any activities involving them, with the assumption that possible orders will therefore be made through the consortium;
  2. Participation at Italian economic missions in overseas markets;
  3. The performance of promotional activities in favour of exportation;
  4. The availability and distribution of every members catalogues for export gives circulation to important production information of the companies involved in this consortium;
  5. The gathering of news and updates regarding overseas clients and the exchange of client profiles in general between companies in the consortium, will increase the overall success of the export;
  6. The promotion and organization of visits to the overseas showrooms for operators, journalists and professionals with relevant networks;
  7. The encompassment of all other progressive activities aimed towards increased export and to assist the company members in their business conduct with a network of overseas operators and in the management of every single export initiative that needs to be made;
  8. Tight control of the overseas promotional activities for the company members products and the willingness from the members to create a unison of distinguishable quality.

The tasks of the Executives

The board of directors is formed of 3 members ,elected by the assembly.
The board has all the power and capability to manage every part of the consortium which is not reserved by law or by the legal assembly of the consortium.

It is expected of the board of directors that they elect from among their members a chairman and vice chairman.

  1. They will draw up a summary of the project accompanied with a report of the operations to be carried out, recommending a programme that will exercise effectively their vision.
  2. Consider carefully the admissions of new members;
  3. Consideration of non successful members being taken out of the consortium;
  4. Suggestions will be made to the assembly concerning the possible internal ruling structure as well as the changes to the statute and regulation itself.
  5. To nominate the director to take on potential employees of the consortium resolving any other administrative involvement.

The governing council is summoned at least every three months by the president or in case of absence, by the vice president or by at least three people from the board members.

The summoning is done via letter or PEC content: it will contain the daily indication, place and time of the reunion and obviously the objective of the meeting which should be scheduled at least 7 days prior or in case of emergency, two days before.

The resolution met by the board will be concluded officially with the need for a majority vote of its members. The minutes of the meeting are given by the director of the consortium, if nominated or by the executive adviser if instructed by the president and this is undersigned by who drafted it and by the president. The delegation allow only one other member to take on this task.

The members of the board will hold office for the minimum of 3 years and maybe reappointed. If during the course of the evaluation one or more members become eliminated, the others will provide a substitution.

The members of the board will remain in office until the next elected assembly is confirmed. If the majority vote is not met the councillors that remain in charge organize an urgent shareholder’s meeting to elect new members. The old and new members will be evaluated at the same time.

How to Join

The corsortium members are small to medium in company size, ranging from industrial, artiginal, touristic, agricultural food services. Other than these, similar sized businesses also participate from the commercial sector. How-ever they almost all have a seat in Italy.

Who-ever wishes to be part of the consortium needs to make a written request to the board. The smaller to medium sized companies in the consortium are held by a subscription which is a share determined in euro of 1.500,00. This amount is kept by the board.

L’invio facoltativo, esplicito e volontario di posta elettronica agli indirizzi indicati su questo sito comporta la successiva acquisizione dell’indirizzo del mittente, necessario per rispondere alle eventuali richieste, e dei Dati contenuti nella missiva.

Il conferimento dei Dati relativi allo svogimento dei servizi gestiti dalla ditta Proexport Sicily è obbligatorio in quanto necessari alla corretta gestione amministrativa e della corrispondenza, anche via fax o posta elettronica, nonché per finalità strettamente connesse all' adempimento degli obblighi di legge, contabili e fiscali e di quanto disposto da Autorità e Organi di Vigilanza.

I Dati sono trattati con strumenti automatizzati per il tempo strettamente necessario a conseguire gli scopi per cui sono stati raccolti e sono osservate misure di sicurezza per prevenire la perdita dei dati, usi illeciti o non corretti ed accessi non autorizzati ai sensi dell’art. 7 del D.lgs. 196/2003 i soggetti cui si riferiscono i dati personali hanno il diritto in qualunque momento di ottenere:
